Philip has had extensive experience in retail property and the development sector. He held senior property positions in a number of corporate organisations prior to establishing Marriott Hardcastle in1991and has subsequently advised on a variety of Landmark Developments in the East Midlands.

At Budworth Hardcastle he continues to specialise in property development activities and also heads up the Property Management department.

Christopher Drummond has had many years experience working in the profession, covering the East Midlands and specifically the Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire markets.

Christopher was previously a Director with Berry Commercial and joined Budworth Hardcastle (previously Marriott Hardcastle) in 1994 as a Partner heading up the Northampton agency and development team.

His own particular emphasis has been agency and development in the office and warehouse sectors throughout the East Midlands area.

Graduated from Leicester Polytechnic in 1984
Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986

Post graduation Mark worked in London for two years. Since 1987 he has worked in private practice in Northamptonshire, dealing with a variety of work including; agency, professional, investment and development. Now concentrating mainly on investment and development throughout the region.

Oliver graduated from University in the North East in 2005 before starting work for Rex Gooding, a Nottingham based independent residential and commercial agent. In 2007 Oliver commenced an MA in Property Management and Development at Nottingham Trent University before joining Budworth Hardcastle’s agency team in 2008. Oliver is working on a broad range of projects and is also studying for his RICS professional qualifications.

Nicholas has a range of experience in both Professional Building Surveying Services and Construction Projects. He has a wealth of expertise in new build and fit out “design and build” procurement within the Office and Industrial Sectors, where he has performed the role of Employer’s Agent and Planning Supervisor / Coordinator.

He has also acted as Development Monitor for purchasers, tenants and financial institutions. Nicholas has also carried out Space Planning, Design, and Contract Administration for “traditionally” procured refurbishment schemes on behalf of government departments, housing associations, and commercial organisations. His professional services experience includes compiling and negotiating Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations on behalf of Tenants and Landlords. He has been involved with Stock Condition Surveys and Valuations for Local Authorities and Housing Associations.

Nicholas has undertaken PFI Due Diligence Surveys, Building and Acquisition Surveys, Measured Surveys, Fire Insurance Cost Assessments and DDA Audits for a variety of client types.

Steven Banks BSc (Hons) MRICS has considerable commercial and industrial expertise across the full range of building consultancy services having acted for clients both locally and nationally.

Steve was previously an Associate Director with a large national practice before being recruited by Budworth Brown, prior to the merger with Marroitt Hardcastle, to head the Building Surveying Department.

During his time spent in the property industry he has surveyed premises for clients prior to their freehold and leasehold acquisitions, has acted in a project monitoring/employer’s representative role on new build projects, has coordinated the refurbishment and upgrading of industrial and office premises and has successfully acted on behalf of both landlords and tenants with regards to dilapidations claims.

Originally worked for Local Authority in Building Control. Progressed to project management for an industrial developer. Then worked in building conservation on Country Houses & Churches. Moved to English Heritage and was engaged in cyclical & planned maintenance as well as project work.

Joined Budworth Hardcastle July ’05 where current work has involved project management, condition surveys and quinquennial surveys.
