Supermarket Plans for Desborough Unveiled

Sainsburys have started a public consultation in relation to their proposals for an 11,000 sqft supermarket  together with 112 car parking spaces on the northern edge of the town.

The supermarket operator hopes to secure a planning consent this winter. Work would then start on site in spring with the store ready for trading towards the end of 2022.

The retailer has negotiated terms for acquiring this prominent frontage site from Northampton based developers Hampton Brook. The supermarket will sit adjacent to the BP petrol filling station which also operates a Marks and Spencer convenience store.

Budworth Hardcastle negotiated the deal with Sainsburys on behalf of the developer.
