Becketts and Sargeants Educational Foundation has used the services of John Burditt and Budworth Hardcastle’s Building Consultancy department since 2012, to upgrade and improve its property portfolio in Northampton Town Centre.
The building work has mainly involved converting the upper parts of four aged buildings from vacant office suites (that were difficult to let and a financial burden) to eleven self-contained flats, with modern facilities. The flats are incoming producing and the rental income supplements the Foundation’s ability to provide grants to young people in Northampton for educational purposes.
John has been instrumental in all of the four contracts and has been thoroughly professional throughout, including budgeting, tendering, selection of contractors, overseeing the works, certifying payments, and dealing with any amendments and alterations. Unforeseen issues, which were few, have been clearly and satisfactorily dealt with.
