Prestigious Hotel Refurbishment Northamptonshire

Budworth Hardcastle are proud to have assisted with the Project Management and Contract Administration on this iconic refurbishment of the noted historic hostelry The Falcon Hotel, Castle Ashby. The Grade II Listed former Coaching Inn part dates from 1594. Completing the transformation included both extensive refurbishment and part new build to a contemporary design fused to a traditional country retreat. The professional team including Budworth Hardcastle, FRR Architects and Interior Designer Jackie Blakey, all worked closely with the Client, Lord and Lady Northampton, and Principal Contractor Powells to implement the Client’s vision to create a retreat for those in need of rest and renewal. The project evolved extensively from inception to realisation with a high degree of attention to detail and form. Budworth Hardcastle involvement in the scheme, to guide and direct, commenced in Nov 2018 with challenging decisions to be made across the project team. Extensive work in the form of structural remodeling, renovation and the creation of new and exciting spaces was undertaken to include modern services and requirements throughout the hotel yet maintain the character and charm of the original building. The hotel, which has now opened to the public, boasts 22 luxury rooms together with a fine dining restaurant called EYAS, a new kitchen, two bars, a purpose-built function room, and a meeting room/juice bar that was formed from the old stables. John Burditt of Budworth Hardcastle spent two years at the centre of the project team driven by the passion and enthusiasm of the client. The result is a unique and bespoke hotel set in the rural idyll of Castle Ashby. Visit https://thefalcon-castleashby.com for enquiries and full details of this newly opened hotel.
